“Are You Behind in Recruiting? Here’s How to Know—and Fix It”

How do you gauge if your athlete is on track in the college recruiting process and what do you do if you feel like you're behind.

Depending on your athlete's age you may or may not even be able to get personal interest from college coaches at this point. So, this is specifically for athletes who can get personal interest from college coaches. 

The first and most obvious thing to look at to see if you're on the right track in the recruiting process is the level of interest that you currently have from college coaches. If you don't have any at this point and coaches are allowed to reach out to you, then it's a sign that you need to change up what you're currently doing. 

Some of the benchmarks to look at to make sure that you're on track are, are you making highlight videos, are you sending emails to college coaches, are you posting content on social media, and are you sending DM's to coaches on social media. In addition, if you are talking to a few schools, how many of those schools have seen you play in person. 

Now if you feel like you're behind that's OK it doesn't mean that you won’t play in college, but it does mean that you need to start taking action now. 

The easiest way to take action is to simply increase the volume of whatever you're doing so if you're making highlight videos make more, if you're sending emails send more, if you're posting on social media post more. 

The later you are in the process if you're not on track the more volume that you need to do. And of course, if you're early in the process and you don't ever want to be behind then start doing a ton of volume early on.
